Our take-home whitening kits include everything you need to reach the shade you are looking for.
Your kit contains custom-made trays and syringes containing the specialist whitening gel.
Carbamide peroxide gel is a hydrogen peroxide compound that is professionally approved for teeth whitening and offers reliable results.
Whilst creating your treatment plan, we’ll discuss the appropriate strength of whitening gel for the number of hours you wish to wear your trays.
The kit is designed to be worn anywhere from a couple of hours to overnight.
Over a number of days and weeks, you’ll start to notice a gradual build in the whiteness of your teeth.
Depending on your starting shade, it will take between one and two weeks to reach your desired shade of whiteness.
The effects of teeth whitening are permanent, however the shade will very slightly darken over an extended period of time.
Depending on your lifestyle choices and consumption of staining food and drinks, your teeth might darken more quickly.
Top-up whitening sessions at home are usually recommended every 6-12 months to ensure that your perfect smile is maintained.
FAQs
Can't you whiten them for me?
There are options for in-surgery whitening however this is limited due to the restrictions on the concentration of gel allowed in the UK.
This means that in-surgery whitening is much less effective and value for money compared to at-home whitening.
It is also rarely provided as a stand-alone treatment, mainly alongside at-home whitening.
How do I do it?
We go through all the instructions with you as well as ensuring your whitening trays fit.
Using your trays at home, you will regularly apply the gel for either 1-2 hours or overnight depending on the preferred system.
Results can start to be seen after the first treatment but the ideal treatment length is 1-2 weeks.
It’s as simple as that!
What happens in the appointments?
On your first appointment we will check to see if you are suitable for whitening and take impressions/moulds of your teeth, this is sent to our lab to make your custom-fit trays.
In 1-2 weeks once your trays arrive we will bring you back, make sure they fit, give you your Boutique Whitening System and you’re ready to get started!
How does it work?
Home whitening allows you to achieve excellent results in the comfort of your own home.
The whitening gel itself contains Hydrogen Peroxide at a safe, prescription-strength concentration.
This is placed and held against the teeth by custom-fitting whitening trays/mouth-guards, allowing the gel to stay in contact with the teeth without spilling out onto the gums.
The Hydrogen Peroxide safely penetrates the enamel, breaking down the molecules that stain teeth, making the teeth appear whiter and brighter.
What are the risks?
Professional teeth whitening is a very low risk procedure, however some people may experience some temporary sensitivity during treatment.
This can be minimised with a good sensitive toothpaste (provided) and by decreasing the frequency of applications.
