How Anti-Wrinkle Injections Work?
Wrinkles and fine lines are caused by the repeated contraction of muscles during dynamic facial movement.
Over time, actions like squinting, frowning or raising your eyebrows can cause different expression lines to form.
Our treatments correct ‘crows feet’ around the eyes as well as lines between the eyebrows, forehead lines and plenty more.
Anti-wrinkle injections work by temporarily relaxing the underlying muscles with a naturally occurring protein called botulinum toxin.
The Botox treatment reduces the appearance of existing wrinkles and also prevents new ones from forming.

Does it hurt?
We have invested and researched heavily on improving the overall experience by making the treatment as pain-free as possible.
This includes using super-fine specialized syringes, gentle techniques and distraction/vibration tools to reduce discomfort.
Overall there is little to no pain, just slight discomfort depending on the patient and the area treated.
How do they work?
Anti-wrinkle injections have been in use cosmetically in the UK for over 20 years and are proven to be a safe treatment with exceptional & reliable results.
The injections contain a prescribed toxin (a common brand being Botox©) which blocks signals telling the facial muscles to contract.
When Botox© is placed into the facial muscles, it prevents contractions, smoothing out the wrinkles in the area and preventing any more wrinkles from appearing.
What are the risks?
No treatment is 100% risk free, including anti-wrinkle injections.
While it is a proven safe and easy procedure, some of the risks include bruising, redness of the skin and swelling.
Some extremely rare risks are temporary eyebrow and eyelid ptosis (drooping), double vision and fever/runny nose.

What do they do?
Wrinkles are caused by the loss in elasticity in the skin as we age, they can also be formed by repeated muscle contractions when we make facial expressions.
Anti-wrinkle injections work to reduce the appearance of wrinkles as well as preventing them.
They are designed to reduce the appearances of crow’s feet, worry lines, frown lines and laughter lines whilst also giving your eyebrows a natural lift.
The result can be tailored to the individual patients preference, some people want a softer natural change whereas some may want a full “frozen” look, all of which is discussed on the initial consultation.
How do you do it?
The treatment itself only takes 5-10 minutes.
This involves preparing the skin with an alcohol swab to prevent infection, then marking up the areas to be treated.
Once the markings are finished we then proceed to place the Botox© accurately into the facial muscles with super-fine syringes, changing the syringe for each area to ensure optimal comfort.
